A brand new building, housing both the French and the German embassies, was presented to the press and to the diplomatic community on Sunday 9 July 2017, jointly by French Ambassador Sophie Aubert and German Ambassador Thomas Prinz. The new shared premises are located in Baridhara, 11 Madani Avenue.
From May 22nd, 2017, the location of the Embassy of France in Dhaka has changed. The new address is on Madani Avenue (corner with Park Road), Baridhara, Dhaka

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Elysée Treaty, the Ambassadors of Germany and France layed the first stone of their new joint Embassy building on 22 January 2013.
